Kodak
Launches Two New iNnovation Series Colour Scanners
Kodak
have just announced one if its neatest ideas to date: a desktop
colour and black and white scanner with dockable flatbed, capable
of accepting up to A3 pages. Without its flatbed, it has a small
foot print for an entry-level production scanner, yet it has many
of the breakthrough technologies that are standard in the high-speed
Kodak i800 Series Scanners introduced last year.
2000
pages a day
The
Kodak i200 Series Scanner is targeted for a daily scanning volume
of up to 2000 pages, with peak volumes of 5000 pages, providing
simultaneous scanning in colour and black and white. Unlike any
other scanner in this market segment, the i200 has the same speed
for greyscale, bi-tonal and colour scanning.
Optional
extras
With
the i200 Series, customers can choose from either the simplex i250
or the duplex 1260, adding any of the three optional accessories:
- the
dockable flatbed
- a
post-scan imprinter
-
an advanced image processing card that enables Perfect Page scanning
State-of-the-art
sensor
Kodak's
TriColour Plus CCD Sensor, advanced imaging technology that was
introduced on the Kodak i800 Series Scanners, is standard on both
models. The sensor provided the basis for simultaneous scanning
in colour and black and white as well as electronic colour drop
out capabilities.
Reliable,
robust feeder
Kodak
is famous for its excellence in paper-handling. An automatic feeder,
short paper path and ultrasonic double feed detection are the elements
that make up Surepath paper handling.
The
i250 and i260 are designed to be used with the accessories as and
when required for maximum ease and convenience. They are also EnergyStar
compliant to meet the most current environmental standards.
The
scanners will be bundled with ISIS, TWAIN and Kodaks Capture Software
Lite drivers and will be available QF 2002.
