Digital cameras offer great benefits
such as the ability to view your pictures immediately on the
back of the camera or on your computer. However, most people
still want real photo quality prints to file away in the photo
albums as an easy to access, long life record. Kodak research
has shown the ability to obtain photo quality prints is the
biggest barrier to adoption of digital cameras by consumers.
With Kodak's new Print@Kodak Internet Print Service, you can
get real photos from a digital camera by sending your print
order to Kodak for printing then collection at a participating
Kodak agent store.
By using the simple Print@Kodak software
that can be downloaded
free of charge from the Kodak Australia web page (www.kodak.com.au),
users first select the participating store where they want
to collect their order from. Around 500 locations are available
initially, but this list will grow to over 1000 in the near
future. Alternatively the photos can be mailed directly to
the customer. Users then select the pictures they want printed,
the size and quantity of prints. When the details and price
are confirmed, the order is uploaded to Kodak for printing
on real photographic paper using the latest digital lab technology.
Being real photos means they have the quality and durability
of traditional photos.
Just like traditional photo processing,
customers can chose to pay for their Print@Kodak order when
they have their prints in their hand and are happy with the
results. With the mail-order option, payment is made via a
secure credit card transaction prior to posting.
With the Print@Kodak network, it is
now fast, safe, easy and reliable to order real photos from
your home or office and enjoy high quality, long life and
durable Kodak Pictures from your digital camera.
